Dr. Rehder
Dr. Renata Rehder graduated as a veterinarian from the Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 1986. She received her Masters Degree from Cornell University in 1990.
Dr. Rehder lives with her husband, Dr. MacMackin, three wonderful kids, their two dogs: Jamii, and Kobe.
Dr. Rehder’s favorite part of her job is pediatrics and educating her clients. She also enjoys internal medicine. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her kids, going to their activities, camping with her family and dogs, reading, traveling, boxing and eating nutella. Dr. Rehder grew up in the third largest city in the world (Sao Paulo, Brazil), but feels that she found her home and balance in life here in LaFayette.
Dr. Monica Bunkenburg
Originally from Skaneateles, NY, Dr. Bunkenburg attended Arizona State University, where she received her bachelor's degree in Agribusiness in 2007. She then attended Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Dr. Bunkenburg is Fear-Free Certified and tries to make each pet's visit to the hospital as comfortable as possible. She enjoys helping pets and their people live their best lives together.
Dr. B shares her home with three special needs French Bulldogs, and a sassy pastel calico kitty. She and her husband enjoy all things Buffalo Bills and LSU Tigers football, as well as reading, movies, and trail walking.
Katherine Bollinger
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Katie started interning at the LaFayette Veterinary Clinic in 2007 while going to school for Veterinary Science. She graduated from SUNY Delhi and has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2008. Katie lives in Tully with her dog, Bear. In her spare time she enjoys playing softball, attending boxing classes, hiking and spending time with her friends, family and fur babies.
Dr. Wortel
Dr. Wortel joined our team in 2017. She graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys practicing both small animal medicine as well as laboratory animal medicine at Ichor Therapeutics, Inc. Her favorite hobbies include volleyball and battling her hound-mix and corgi for bed space. She feels supremely lucky to be so involved in such a wonderful community.

Allison joined our team in June of 2021 as a veterinary technician. She graduated from SUNY Canton and has been a licensed veterinary technician since 2018. She lives in Liverpool with her 2 kitties Baby and Beans. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and having outdoor adventures.

The LaFayette Veterinary Clinic as Part of the Community
The entire team of doctors and staff at the Lafayette Veterinary Clinic feel strongly about community involvement. The doctors regularly attend school career fairs and programs as well as in the clinic educating groups such as the Boys and Girl Scouts during tours of our facility. The Clinic team encourages students who job shadow and volunteer with our staff sharing their talents and knowledge. We have collected supplies for area shelters; participated in events like Canine Carnival and Pumpkins and Pooches; run/walked for several causes, including the Relay for Life; and, we even hosted our own blood drive for the American Red Cross! Many of us not only work, but also live in the community and we enjoy seeing and hearing about the Lafayette Community Council Little League and basketball teams that we sponsor each year.
Dr. MacMackin
Dr. Thomas MacMackin (Dr. Tom as he is affectionately known) grew up in Cazenovia and received his veterinary degree from Cornell University in 1990.
Along with his spouse, Dr. Rehder, he enjoys spending time with his three children. His hobbies include hiking, kayaking, playing basketball, and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. MacMackin loves his job and particularly enjoys surgeries and challenging cases.

Erin Marks
Manager/Veterinary Assistant
Erin joined the practice in August of 2008 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has a B.A. degree in Psychology an A.A.S. degree in Animal Management and Veterinary Assistant certification. She is also a fully trained life coach speciailzing in self-compassion. Erin lives in Syracuse with her husband and son, as well as their furry companions, Lessa and Luka, the dogs and Ferguson and Winston, the cats, and a bearded dragon named Keeley. Erin's varied interests include coloring, knitting, reading, singing, meditation, yoga and spending time outside anytime she can!

Chelsea joined the practice in February 2023. She serves the team as a receptionist and manufacturer of laughs! In the future, she would like to continue her education to become a technician. She LOVES her cat, Leon, and her equine companion, Taz. In her free time, she enjoys riding her horse, spending time with family/friends, concerts, and painting.

Jessica joined the practice in April 2013 as a Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant. She has an Associate in Arts and a Veterinary Assistant certification. She lives in Syracuse with her fiancé, two adorable rescue kitties, Finnegan & Oliver and their two dogs Bentley & Stella. When she's not working, she enjoys spending time at home, reading, refurbishing old furniture and four wheeling.
